Aki Cao’s composition features from subtle tones to capacious melodies, from chamber music to orchestra,
from classical music to modern electronica.
She is a classically-trained pianist from 4. As she has found her passion for Screen Scoring since teenager, she has determined to become a composer for visual media ever since. She gained USC’s prestigious Screen Scoring Master degree and held a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition. She studied under Emmy-winning composer Laura Karpman (The Marvels, Mrs Marvel).
Aki's diverse engagement spans across a spectrum of multimedia projects, encompassing films, TV series, songs, shows, and video games. Her involvement in various ventures includes commercial films, narrative, animation, sci-fi, adventure, independent films, comedy etc.
She’s got a mind of creation and a heart for dedication, a respectful yet thoughtful personality to work with. Aki believes the ultimate vision is not only through enhancing the plots and twists of the stories, but also presenting to the audience with a goal of achieving heartfelt immersive experience.
